FAQ

What are your core processes, and specialization?

Cast gem set jewelry in any precious metal or brass. Plating, robotic setting, continuous casting hollow casting, light weight jewelry. Diamond, lab diamond, precious, semi-precious, synthetic and CZ, simulated stones.

We try to partner with our customers and total annual business is more important to us. In the case of an annual turnover of more than 250K, we service the account entirely, including single piece orders.

Our costs are from $1.50- $300. Lead time between 4-8 weeks depending on seasonal time and order size. Samples between 1-3 weeks.

4-8 weeks. We have an efficient process that includes a number of processes that allow an even consistent quality standard. Mass finishing and order routing add production efficiencies together with, wet and dry tumbling, robotic setting and a large plating capacity we are in a position to increase quantities easily without outside contracting. Rush orders are dealt with on a case by case basis order can be turned around in 10 days if needed and sample with a week.

How do you ensure quality control? How is intellectual property protected?

IJM is involved with a number of worldwide brands for which OEM production is catered for. We have contracts in place, NDA’s and in cases of territory protection for customers of IJM intellectual property we have the possibility of exclusivity.

IJM has a number of QA/QC processes. Metal is check on every cast tree for quality fineness using a Fischer Goldscope SDD Pro. The same is true of all plated items where we test for gold fineness and micron thickness following customers’ requirement. We have 28 inline QC staff who are managed by a QC manager who creates departmental/ individual and consolidated QC reports on a daily weekly and monthly basis. Quality control standards are set on a department by department or module by module basis and checked for that department’s specialty.

We like to maintain at 80,000 pcs per month in quiet months and can scale to 250,000 pcs

While sourcing globally we still have a list of preferred suppliers some of which we have had relationships for over 20 yrs who know consistently what we buy and are prepared for our orders.

We have our own logistic department for import and export. This is managed through our work with Royal Thai Customs and our Duty Free Zone status. Being allowed to import duty and tax free. We work with both secure shipping companies like Brinks, Malca-Amit, Ferrari and courier services Fed-Ex, DHL, UPS etc. Insurace handles by us or the customer or using customers preferred shipping companies is also available. IJM can ship in any number of international Incoterms.

Can you handle custom parts or materials if needed?

Yes our Duty Free Zone status allows us to import all production materials or machinery if necessary. We are able through our tooling department and New Product development department to quickly conceive of parts, claps and fixtures and our model making capacity runs at 400 pcs per month giving us a big potential to develop new products and bring new concepts to market.

Are you willing to provide samples, and what's your sample pricing?

Samples are a large part of our business model. Each piece consists of a BOM (bill of materials) and is costed through metals, stones, labour, setting and plating. IJM can be transparent with it’s costing and provide costing breakdowns.

What are payment terms?

We use credit insurance to finance our business. Each customer is granted a level of credit and we trade within that limit. Our basic Terms are 30 days after invoicing and if uninsurable prepayment. For customers with large credit facilities we can be flexible with our term up to 90 days.
